The situation outside of the capital, Guatemala City, is very serious.
The NE area of the country has been devastated by hurricane Mitch, the
banana crop has been lost and 30% of the roads to that area are washed
out. There have been reports of cholera cases in the city and they expect
that once the water recedes the need for medical care will be overwhelming.

samples etc... The e-mail address for the Rotary Club is: (my classmates
