Strategic Planning: Thought, Emotion and Body |
One of this "custom suit" designers is chilean Gastón Rojas, from Grupo Creces Consultores, in Santiago de Chile, who proposes a novel way to interpret human relations. More than an analysis of the traditional administrative measures and the new fo rmulas and recipes that assure management's success, Rojas deepens in the origin of a new paradigm, applicable to interpersonal relations, in and out of the company.
The future starts today.
Verbal interchange between two persons is the starting point to reach effective results. According to Gastón Rojas, a conversation today, in present tense, opens up the possibility to invent the future. Since the moment that two persons talk of thi ngs they want to happen, they are creating the future.
Rojas acknowledges in language the capacity to generate reality: "we constitute ourselves in language and are no different to what we say we are".
According to the chilean consultant's interpretation, a new way to look at things shows that we constitute ourselves in the action or actions preceded by conversations. "So, we are no different to what we talk or what we do", he says.
The idea exists that we are something or someone, regardless of what we do. We tend to label ourselves: "I'm a doctor, lawyer, journalist or architect, we say, even though we are much more than that", Rojas said.
What is particular about this interpretation is that language stops being trivial and transforms into the starting point of an action that takes us to a previously talked end. More than descriptive, language generates unexistent realities, which become es tablished results, not by one, but by more people.
He also recognizes in biology the ability that every human has to perceive things and distinguish them from illusions, drawing from experience. "It's not until after we do something that we realize if we've made a mistake or not", he explains.
