Man vs. Machine
Man has placed himself in a frenzy to obtain the Olympic principles: stronger, higher and faster. So much faster, that even the present special edition on Computer Science almost appeared to become obsolete even before it was on print. This might sound exaggerated, but one needs only to take a glance at all the novelties in Internet each day, to feel the vertigo of speed. There is an infinite number of possibilities and there are no limits or frontiers. The future definitely has caught up! All this took us to being the first guatemalan publication in the new cyberspace since October 1995.
In this setting, we might ask ourselves: Does man feel comfortable facing his creation? What is the role he must assume to face the knowledge avalanche that he himself let loose? Luckily from the comfort of our own computer we can now see the parade of this new world revolution to which Guatemala is also invited, prepared or not.
