Project #2.
This is a small project, with one purpose: help you choose
a topic for your final project.
First, think of a topic
that you would like to research in depth and present to the
world through the World Wide Web. It should be something
that you are familiar with: a hobby, a topic you have studied
in one of your classes, an idea that you feel strongly about.
Ideally, your topic would be related to the impact of the
Internet on some human activity. For example, how the Web
is changing scholarly publishing.
You could also design the web pages for your employer, or
a non-profit group, or a society you belong to.
Write two or three short paragraphs about the topic you are choosing,
and why you are interested in developing a page about it.
Write up also a short description of the
related resources you found during the gopher exercise. Send
this to me via email. If you found a newsgroup that you think
is relevant to your topic, send me the name of the newsgroup too.
